O Secretário de Relações Internacionais da FURG, Prof. Dr. Milton Asmus, participou da 34ª Conferência Anual da Associação Europeia de Educação Internacional (EAIE), realizada de 17 a 20 de setembro de 2024, em Toulouse, França. O evento é considerado o segundo maior do mundo em internacionalização da educação superior, reunindo mais de 6.800 participantes de diversas partes do globo.
A delegação brasileira, liderada pela FAUBAI (Associação Brasileira de Educação Internacional) e em parceria com o Ministério da Educação (MEC), contou com representantes de mais de 40 instituições de ensino superior, além de membros da SESU, CAPES e da Embaixada do Brasil em Paris.
Com o tema "En route", a conferência abordou questões contemporâneas da internacionalização da educação, incluindo tecnologias digitais e práticas sustentáveis. O estande “Study & Research in Brazil”, representado pelo MEC, destacou a educação superior brasileira e promoveu novas parcerias entre as instituições.
O Secretário teve a oportunidade de dialogar com colegas de diversas partes do mundo, trocar experiências e discutir oportunidades de colaboração. Sua participação contribui significativamente para o fortalecimento das relações internacionais da FURG e a promoção da instituição no cenário global.
A realização do evento em um país com longa tradição de cooperação com o Brasil também favoreceu o networking entre instituições. A FAUBAI, juntamente com a Embaixada Brasileira em Paris e a Campus France, organizou o evento “Brasil-França: caminhos para a cooperação”, que visa ampliar as parcerias entre as instituições de ambos os países.
A presença do Secretário Milton Asmus na EAIE 2024 reafirma o compromisso da FURG em promover a internacionalização e a excelência acadêmica, preparando seus alunos e professores para os desafios do futuro.
FURG’s Secretary of International Relations Represents the University at the 34th Annual Conference of the European Association for International Education in Toulouse
FURG’s Secretary of International Relations, Prof. Dr. Milton Asmus, participated in the 34th Annual Conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), held from September 17 to 20, 2024, in Toulouse, France. The event is considered the second largest in the world for the internationalization of higher education, bringing together over 6,800 participants from various parts of the globe.
The Brazilian delegation, led by FAUBAI (Brazilian Association for International Education) in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MEC), included representatives from over 40 higher education institutions, along with members of SESU, CAPES, and the Brazilian Embassy in Paris.
With the theme "En route," the conference addressed contemporary themes in the internationalization of education, including digital technologies and sustainable practices. The "Study & Research in Brazil" booth, represented by MEC, showcased Brazilian higher education and promoted new partnerships between institutions.
The Secretary had the opportunity to engage with colleagues from around the world, exchange experiences, and discuss collaboration opportunities. His participation significantly contributed to strengthening FURG's international relations and promoting the institution on the global stage.
The event’s location in a country with a long tradition of cooperation with Brazil also facilitated networking between institutions. FAUBAI, along with the Brazilian Embassy in Paris and Campus France, organized the event "Brazil-France: Paths to Cooperation," aimed at expanding partnerships between institutions from both countries.
Secretary Milton Asmus’s presence at EAIE 2024 reaffirms FURG's commitment to promoting internationalization and academic excellence, preparing its students and faculty for future challenges.
